Everyone has been busy preparing for our Christmas Show – The Stiksman. A great deal of singing practice and learning lines has been going on here and the children managed to perform two successful shows even though many of them were ill and away from school for days. We also managed to raise over £430 by selling a raffle on the day of the show. Thank you to everyone for their support and to the children for their commitment.

The Geirionydd District has been studying Wales as their theme and following the visit of members of parliament last month Councilor Goronwy Edwards came over to share information about the Council and his role as a local councillor.

We have been celebrating the coming Christmas by eating a delicious Christmas dinner. Many thanks to Aunt Helen and Aunt Cathy for preparing it. The children looked great in their hats too.

We are also very grateful to the following companies: IDB Engineering, Orme View Llandudno, JMJ, Alwyn Jones Ltd and TJ Parry Jones Butcher for sponsoring our sports shirts. The children are very much looking forward to having the opportunity to wear them at sporting events in the future.

A special visitor came to the school before the end of term and the children had the opportunity to show off their dancing talents in our disco. Santa had heard that the school children deserved praise for their performance in the show and he brought each of them a little something for their efforts.

Some of the children also had the opportunity to create Christmas decorations out of natural materials with Alys leading the sessions. Fortunately it was a dry day so the children were able to complete the task in the open air.

To finish the term the children fromthe  Reception Class to Year 6 went to see the Jack and the Beanstalk Panto at Venue Cymru. A chance to enjoy at the end of a very busy term.

We look forward to having a break over Christmas and a opportunity to relax before returning back here in January - a new term and a new year!
