July News
Here we are at the end of a very busy term and school year. The school has been full of excitement and buzz with various activities taking place.
Dulyn and Geirionydd Class had the opportunity to assist Cymdeithas Eryri to get rid of The Himalyan Balsam plant that was growing on Zip World land in Dolgarrog. The children must be praised for their team work and having such an enthusiastic attitude towards helping our natural world. They also had the opportunity to design a poster and Ben, Poppy and Lewis managed to win a prize for their poetry. Fortunately for us we also had a day of rare, dry weather!
Geirionydd Class have also been busy creating posters to promote Save the Seals. Lois form Yr5 was successful and won an award for her design. Congratulations Lois!
A Talent Show was held here at the beginning of the month and it was wonderful to see all the talents of our children. There was dancing, singing, gymnastics, boxing and football skills , instrumental performances and artwork and lego designs. We have very talented children at the school.
It was a pleasure to be able to hold our Sports Day also on another dry day and witness all the children taking part and trying their very best. Fair play to the staff and the parents/carers too for competing in front of everyone.
During our last week we had many fun and interesting activities. Geirionydd Class had an Epic Water Battle ! Not only the children got wet...!!!
It was also an opportunity to say goodbye to Year 6 and there was an excellent farewell service with singing, speeches, dancing and videos. It was wonderful to see all the parents and carers supporting us and to see our Year 6 children speak and perform confidently in front of everyone.
Following that they had the opportunity to complete the Ninja Course at Zipworld followed by food at the Hilton. Very happy and satisfied children!
To finish our celebrations for our last week there was a disco and a picnic on the field; and that's it another end of the year and an opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy a few weeks off until September!
