Sporting Success & Active Learning

Our pupils have been making the most of the weather to develop new skills and represent our school out in the community.

  • Cricket Champions: A huge congratulations to the eight pupils who represented us at the Dyffryn Conwy Cricket Tournament. The team played excellently and came SECOND overall! ðŸĨˆ Great effort by all! 🏏
  • Congratulations to the pupils for excellently representing the school at the Conwy Valley Sports Day !👏
  • Dosbarth Geirionydd also had a great day at Porth Eirias, learning essential life skills as well as enjoying themselves at the seaside!ðŸ’Ķ🏊    
  • Fun in the Sun: Pupils across the school have also been enjoying the sunshine while developing their general cricket skills during outdoor sports sessions.
  • Rugby Wrap-up: We want to say a big thank you to Anna from Clwb Rygbi Nant Conwy for her excellent, fun rugby sessions with Dosbarth Geirionydd  over the past few weeks. 🏉 Everyone was disappointed that our final session took place this week.
    • Note for Parents: Junior rugby restarts at Nant Conwy in September - go for it!

Life Skills & Outdoor Fun

Learning at our school extends far beyond the classroom. This month, our pupils have been getting hands-on with practical life skills.

  • Kerbcraft Success: Well done to all the Year 1 children who successfully completed their road-safety Kerbcraft sessions this week! ðŸšĨ🚗
  • Young Gardeners: We had a very busy afternoon out on the school field. The children in Dosbarth Geirionydd showed fantastic teamwork weeding, harvesting fresh lettuce, and moving compost. 🊏ðŸŠī
  • Baking Adventures: Our younger pupils in Dosbarth Crafnant have been busy baking, and we are just hoping these delicious Gingerbread Men don't run away! 😉
  • In addition, Dosbarth Dulyn had a great morning in their drum workshop!ðŸĨ

Bringing History to Life

Dosbarth Geirionydd and Dulyn pupils took a step back into the Dark Ages.

Rosie from Story Rangers visited us to re-tell the local legend of The Garrog. The children participated interactively in the storytelling and learned what daily life that period.
The Eglwysbach community is currently busy creating a beautiful tapestry to re-tell this local story, and we look forward to seeing the completed version soon.

Classroom Focus

Alongside all our outdoor activities, pupils form Dosbarth Melynllyn  have been focused in their classroom areas, consolidating their core literacy and numeracy skills through targeted learning activities. ⭐⭐⭐
