November has been a busy time once again. A variety of visitors called at the school and the children have also been out on visits.

Dosbarth Eigiau  has been learning the story of the Stickman and have been out looking for twigs for their Small World area. While outside wandering they have also been developing their listening skills by listening carefully for different sounds. We also had some snow and ice in the middle of the month and it was a great opportunity for the children to learn about cold weather and what happened to the ice as it warmed up.

Some of the children from Dosbarth Geirionydd  competed in a football tournament in Llandudno and it was lovely to hear the organisers praising the children's behaviour. We will receive a new sports kit soon and look forward to wearing it in various competitions. Cwmni Theatr Clwyd came to perform to the children and held a workshop on making wise choices and teaching the children about the justice system. In addition, Ifan, the Dyffryn Conwy Rugby Officer has been holding weekly sessions with the children and they have been responding brilliantly. As part of the 'Wales' theme the children have also  been learning about local and national politics and Caryl Hughes came here from the Welsh Assembly to share information about the purpose of the government and the type of work that takes place there. Perhaps the politicians of the future are amongst them!
